The Problem Their numerous restaurants—Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish, Carrabba’s, Fleming's, and Roy's—had a variety of communication equipment brands from restaurant to restaurant, all being managed by their HQ at OSI.

Resulting issues included: costly for service; disorganization in managing numerous systems; no advantage of volume purchases within one brand; wasting of time at management end; loss of productivity at restaurants.

With additional standardization of equipment across the board, so each restaurant could report back to their headquarters, OSI gained control of all communications.
